From an early age, David Espinoza worked summers in roofing alongside his relatives—acquiring the skill and lifelong passion for the trade. Even as a novice roofer, it became evident that many improvements were needed in the industry, including enhancing the experience of roofing crews and customers alike. This unrelenting commitment to excellence in the industry inspired the founding of Shepherd Tile Roofing.
Initially, our primary focus was on multifamily properties as the founder’s wife, Jessica Martinez, previously managed such properties that required reliable, high-quality contractors. This experience provided our growing company with the foundation to excel in this sector while simultaneously building a reputation for honesty and proficiency.
As with most new businesses, we encountered many challenges from the start. Priority number one for us centered on streamlining our process—from inspection to bid to installation—for maximum efficiency and transparency with our customers. Gradually, we meticulously refined our procedures and today we’re proud to say we’ve successfully delivered an effective, customer-friendly workflow that serves our clients with only the best.
